Find community
Meet SDA Christians before you arrive in a new city or country, and build relationships around faith.
SDAChristian exists to help Seventh-day Adventists find people, churches and community wherever life takes them — and to help people find the support they need when life becomes difficult.
“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.”— Ecclesiastes 4:9–10
Many people need help, but we simply do not see it. I have seen young people leave church because they have to work to support themselves or their families. Sometimes we look at something as simple as going to church and wonder, “Why can’t you just take one day off?” But for some people, even that is difficult.
Some work six days a week, sometimes more than sixty hours a week. Their only day away from work may not be Sabbath or the weekend at all. It may be a weekday, or a short period of rest after a night shift. Some people work through the day and night simply to make enough money to keep going. In some places, even finding a few hours to rest can be a challenge.
Things that feel ordinary to us can be very difficult for someone else. We may know this in our hearts, but if we never go and see, we may never understand how difficult another person’s reality can be.
Food, housing, healthcare and education all contain real needs — and there are also people who are willing to help. I want to create a place where those needs and those willing to help can find each other.
I also believe Christians should have more opportunities to visit different places, learn from one another, experience different communities and see what God is doing around the world. We should be able to discover how we can help, and people who need help should have a better chance of finding someone who can help them.
SDAChristian is built around a simple idea: people should not have to face difficult seasons alone, and those who are willing to help should have a way to find them.
Sometimes the first step is simply knowing that another SDA Christian is there.
“You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household.”
— Ephesians 2:19
The purpose is to give more people opportunities to see what God is doing in different places. The world is large, and there are SDA Christians all around it. We should have more opportunities to make friends with one another, pray together, visit one another, learn from one another and find local churches wherever we go.
It can also mean finding a job, finding housing, finding a church, finding people to talk to, finding someone to pray with, or simply finding a place where you feel that you belong.

We are all people who love God. We know that God is there. But sometimes real life becomes exhausting. Work, money, housing, family responsibilities and uncertainty can become so heavy that it feels difficult just to breathe.
SDAChristian is meant to be one small place where we can remember that we are not alone — and where someone who needs help can find someone who is willing to help.
“Go and make disciples of all nations.”— Matthew 28:19
Lord, help us to have the strength to help people who are in need, and give us the humility to receive help when we are the ones in need. Help us to see what is happening in the world, to meet your people, to learn, to serve, to pray, and to share your love wherever we go.
